On August 2, 2023, China Classification Society (CCS) conducted another inspection on the water intake pump ship manufactured by Hunan Zhongda Energy Saving Pump Industry in Guanyinyan Reservoir Area, Huaping County, Yunnan Province.
As a directly affiliated institution of the Ministry of Transport, CCS implements enterprise management. CCS is a national ship technical inspection agency, the only professional organization in China engaged in ship classification inspection business, and an official member of the International Association of Classification Societies.
During this inspection, CCS ship inspectors went deep into the interior of the ship's hold and conducted non-destructive testing of structural welds and butt welds inside the hold. The ship inspectors also inspected the welds between the engine piping bilge pump and the fire pump, as well as the deck.
The inspection of ships generally includes initial inspection, intermediate inspection, special inspection, dock inspection, etc. In terms of time, there are also annual inspection, temporary inspection, etc. This inspection belongs to the production period inspection. According to the relevant provisions of the CCS "Construction Specification for Steel Inland Ships" (2012) and its current "Modification Notice", as well as the "Technical Rules for Statutory Inspection of Inland Ships" (2019), the ship inspection personnel are very satisfied with the inspection results and praise the welding technology of the welding personnel of Zhongda Pump Industry's ships.
