In order to improve the service life of the water intake pump ship and ensure that it is over 50 years old, and due to the lifelong inability to maintain the underwater part of the hull shell plate. Therefore, it is required that the thickness of the underwater outer plate of the entire ship (≥ 8mm) meet the service life requirements; And advanced marine anti fouling and anti-corrosion materials (anti algae, snail and other aquatic organisms) and advanced processes are selected for treatment.
Our company uses CCSA steel plates for the hull. After the hull is completed, ultrasonic non-destructive testing and overall tightness testing of the welds will be carried out according to the specifications. The hull will be supplied by an air compressor with a pressure of 0.2MPa and maintained for half an hour; Apply lime water to the external weld seam, and apply kerosene to the inside to penetrate. Observe if there is any leakage in the weld seam. All welding of hull components shall be completed by qualified welders.
Before welding, the surface of the welded component should be carefully cleaned to remove rust, paint, moisture, and oil stains. Welding is carried out in a certain welding sequence to avoid deformation of the steel plate and stress concentration on the material.
After welding is completed, necessary parts shall be subjected to water and fire correction to maintain the smoothness of the hull shape, and the welding specifications shall be strictly executed in accordance with the requirements of the welding specification table.
1. Surface treatment
1) Use clean, dry, and free of oil and other pollutants air to sand the anti-corrosion surface. The sand particles selected for sanding shall not exceed a maximum cross-section of 75 in the sanding area μ m. Minimum not exceeding 25 μ The range of m. The surface cleanliness after sandblasting and rust removal shall meet the requirements of SSPC-SP5-1966 (Swedish standard SIS 05 5900-1967 Sa3), CP3012-1972 or relevant international standards.
2) Use manual tools such as angle grinder, polishing machine, etc. to repair and remove all burrs, welding spatter, sharp surfaces, and rough surfaces.
3) Use handheld electric wire brushes and similar tools to clean the edges and remove rust, scale, oil stains, and residual paint.
4) Use the same solvent that matches the solvent provided by the paint manufacturer to clean the surface of oil stains.
5) For components and bearing surfaces with high brightness, anti-corrosion varnish or similar anti-corrosion paint should be used to comprehensively polish and prevent corrosion.
