On March 26th, the large-scale ethnic stage play "Letter from the Beacon" premiered at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in our city. Artists from Shanxi Province used General Zuo Quan's 13 final family letters as a thread to recreate the deep patriotism of revolutionary predecessors during the years of the beacon.
The yellowed letterhead and mottled handwriting instantly transported the live audience to the revolutionary era of war. Over the course of more than 100 minutes, six chapters including "Taihang Mountains as Evidence" and "Blue Blood and Red Heart" were successively performed. The battlefield smoke, Yan'an concern, and Liling watch were intertwined in time and space, and the revolutionary predecessors' iron blood tenderness and national righteousness were vividly presented before our eyes.
